As far as AI in the classroom, I don't believe anything more than cameras near ceiling height would be necessary to be used for monitoring student behavior and settling disputes between parents who profess that "my little Johnny would NEVER do that!" and amounts to a he-said/she-said student-teacher argument. Video evidence would be used to prosecute instances of assault, both student-on-student and student-on-teacher; it would be used to enforce compliance with personal electronics use where banned; it would be used by administrations to see whether or not teachers are actively engaged with their students and circulating to provide a more one-on-one learning environment. AI and microphones? Unnecessary; we don't have that anywhere else in the workforce and I don't see why schools should be a special exemption when we don't monitor parent-child behaviors which largely have more impact on a student's learning than the one hour per day classroom environment.

In America, we simply don't value education (even though we profess we do) the way other countries do, and we have too generous of a social support system which rewards lethargy, apathy, and incompetence. Unless and until we have more hand-on buy-in from parents, and hold students responsible for their learning (rather than passing them up the food chain without demonstrable competency examination) we're just going to continue spinning our wheels.
